Welcome!
I love Formula One (F1) racing but write about the wine and food lifestyle.
In seeking a way to write about F1 with wine and food as part of the story I came up with writing a series of articles covering the F1 season starting in 2010. It had recaps of prior races, opinion of current races with news and rumors when known, plus an overview of each of most of the nineteen racing circuit’s regional history, culture, dining, travel, and its wine and food.
The Monaco Grand Prix article for 2010 also provided a bit of background on how I came to love this sport.
The series was called, “Wine and Food of Formula 1″ for the 2010 season. I hope to cover F1 racing again in the future and perhaps other forms of auto racing as well. For the 2010 series, I could not do a few circuits, so I will attempt to cover them in future years if possible and if they are still on the racing circuit. 2011 will also see the addition of a new racing circuit in India, making the season 20 races vs. 19.
This page is the Table of Contents, for lack of a better term, for the F1 pages and articles for the racing seasons covered.
2010 Formula One Racing Season
On the following links, you will find the various articles and pages on the 2010 F1 racing season. I purposely set out to bring this to you because I have a passion for the sport. Hope it brought you what you have come to expect with the wine and food stories, but also create some excitement for Formula One.
Introduction. This provided an introduction to the sport and included links to the drivers, teams, organizations, circuits, the race schedule, Speed Channel’s TV schedule with air times for practice, qualifying, and the race, and much more. This page served as a guide to the 2010 Formula 1 racing season if you are new to it or have been a fan all of your life, please keep in mind though that rules and regulations can change per season, as can teams and drivers.
Stats and Opinion. This provided you the results of each race along with my opinion of that race. The stats included position, fastest lap speed (when available), the driver’s starting position, and team.
Championship Standings. This provided the most current standings in the FIA World Driver’s and Constructor’s Championship points, with a brief description of what this is and the points structure. Simply put, the drivers and teams with the most points accumulated at the end of the season claim bragging rights to the title! The final winners for the 2010 season are on this page.
Congrats to Red Bull Renault for taking the 2010 World Constructor’s Championship and their driver, Sebastian Vettel for taking the World Driver’s Championship.
Wine and Food of Formula 1. This contains the links to all the original articles written in 2010. It is an archive of all the articles that were published for the the season under the “Wine and Food of Formula 1″ series. Each article covered all or some of the following topics: prior race recap, current race and racing circuit information and history, the country and region where the race is held with an overview of its history, culture, dining, economy, travel, among other things.
This series was a work in progress. As I run a business, it can often be a pain in the neck in that it can get in the way of my traveling and/or research needed for more extensive articles! So you will find some articles shortened while others are more extensive. Also, the articles can vary based on information already known to me because I know the area or if I must research and use contacts on the ground. I do hope to continue in the future as this series of articles were very popular with all of you.
Cheers then Enjoy!
