
WINE AND FOOD OF FORMULA 1 SERIES
Below you will find the entire series of articles for the 2010 F1 racing season, “Wine and Food of Formula 1″ for each race venue covered. Every article was a combination of the passion for the sport and of course wine and food stories and other information such as brief history, culture, dining, travel information on the region.
Each article covered several topics and appeared in the following order and sections:
Prior race recap. This provided you with a few stats and my thoughts on the prior race, plus any news coming out of that race.
The current race covered. This provided you with information on the race course, stats, my opinion. Also any news/rumors happening on the circuit and the USA television schedule. This section also provided updates throughout race weekend on first 5 rows for the starting grid and the first three finishes after the race with further links to full results and championship points pages.
Videos. This is where a play list was added, if any. It contained 1-4 videos by third parties found on the Internet pertaining to Formula 1 racing, such as simulations of the upcoming race course, footage of the last year’s race, and/or special videos on F1. Please keep in mind that these are 3rd party sites, so if you come back in the future they could be removed or replaced.
The country and city where the race is held. This section provided an overview on its history, culture, economics, travel information, demographics and other information such as dining.
The Wine. This section provided an overview of the wines and wine industry in or near the race venue and other wine related information.
The Food. This section provide an overview about the region’s cuisine, food culture and some of its favorite dishes, dining, and other information.
Videos. This would end the article with any third party videos found on the Internet on travel, dining, entertainment, wines and food of the region covered in the article.Please keep in mind that these are 3rd party sites, so if you come back in the future they could be removed or replaced.
Each article was posted on or before the Saturday of the race weekend.
This is also a sub-page of Formula 1: Info, Wine, and Food that acts as a table of contents and provides links to the additional sub-pages for the 2010 racing season, as well current and future seasons.
There were nineteen races in all for the 2010 season and I hoped to cover most if not all of them, as it turned out because of a family matter I ended up publishing articles on fifteen of the nineteen races.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS FOR THE 2010 RACING SEASON. RACING RECAPS AND MY OPINION OF THE RACES WILL BE OLD NEWS FOR THE 2011 SEASON AND BEYOND. IT IS REFERENCE MATERIAL HOWEVER! ALSO KEEP IN MIND EVEN RULES, DRIVERS, CIRCUITS, TEAMS, ETC. WILL CHANGE IN FUTURE SEASONS.

Sebastian Vettel for winning the 2010 FIA World Driver’s Championship (he is also now the youngest F1 driver to crowned World Champion)
It was a very good year for Red Bull Renault I would say!
Wine and Food of Formula 1: Intro and Bahrain
First race of the season held in Bahrain on March 14, 2010. Gave an into on Formula 1 and the race. Overview of Bahrain’s history, culture, food, and coffee as there is no wine industry and alcohol is banned in some areas. Lots of info, links, and videos.

Wine and Food of Formula 1 (2nd Race): Australia
The second race of the season held in the city of Melbourne, in the state of Victoria. Gave an overview of the Bahrain race and commented on the this race. Provided brief history, culture, travel, economy, food, and the wine regions in the state of Victoria, most notably the region, where the race was held. Lots of links and videos.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (3rd Race): Malaysia
The third race of the season held in the district of Sepang, Kuala Lumper, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of the region, its culture, economy, travel, food, and wine. Lots of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (4th Race): Shanghai, China
The fourth race of the season held in Shanghai, China. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of the Dynasties, the region, travel, economy, its culture, food, wine, and lot’s more. A lot of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (5th Race): Barcelona, Spain
The fifth race of the season held in Barcelona, Spain. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Spain and Barcelona, the region, travel, economy, its culture, food, wine, and lot’s more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.

Wine and Food of Formula 1 (6th Race): Monte Carlo, Monaco
The sixth race of the season held in Monte Carlo, Monaco. This has to be the most prestigious and sought after wins for the drivers and teams. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Monaco, the region, its lifestyle, travel, economy, its culture, food, wine, Grace Kelly, the movie Grand Prix (1960), provided background on how I came to love this sport, and lot’s more. The eighth race of the season held in Montreal,Canada. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Canada, Quebec, and Montreal, the region, travel, economy, its culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (9th Race): European Grand Prix, Valencia, Spain
The ninth race of the season held in Valencia, Spain. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Valencia, Spain and the region’s travel, economy, culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
The tenth race of the season held at historic Silverstone Circuit in Towcester, Northamptonshire, England. Great Britain has produced more World Driver’s and Constructor’s champions than any other country. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Silverstone, Towcester, and Northamptonshire and that region’s travel, culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (11th Race): German Grand Prix, Hockenheim, Germany
The eleventh race of the season held at the Hockenheimring Circuit in Hockenheim, Germany. Beautiful course and and interesting race. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Germany, the state of Baden Wuerttemberg, the region/district of Rhein-Neckar, and Hockenheim and that region’s travel, culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (12th Race): Hungarian Grand Prix, Budapest, Hungary
The twelfth race of the season held at the Hungaroring Circuit in Budapest, Hungary. This was a race filled with surprises and penalties. It is also the last race before a four week break in racing action. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Hungary and Budapest and that region’s travel, culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (13th Race): Belgian Grand Prix, Spa, Belgium
The thirteenth race of the season held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. This was a race that was very exciting and had many incidents. Gave an overview of the prior race, my opinion of this race. A brief history of Belgium and Spa the region’s travel, culture, food, wine, and more. Plenty of links, videos, and information.
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (14th Race): Italian Grand Prix, Monza, Italy
The fourteenth race of the season. This article was cut short because of business obligations, but does include the Belgian GP race recap and opinion, news, results, and some information on Monza. As I put in the article, Italy is owed big time about travel, dining, food, wine, and history/culture with next year’s race or with future articles. Great race and Ferrari won with Fernando Alonso behind the wheel and Felipe Massa in 3rd, it was Ferrari’s 18th Monza win in its history. Can only imagine the wine pouring with unlimited food for weeks after that win!
Wine and Food of Formula 1 (15th Race): Singapore Grand Prix
This was the fifteenth race of the season. Covered in article: recap of Italian Grand Prix, opinion and news for the Singapore GP; a bit of history and culture of Singapore, nightlife and dining, wine (well maybe not…), and food of the island country.
Please note that after this date, a family and business matter came up that took me away from travel and the time to research and write any further articles in this series. So the last four races of the Formula One season for 2010 were not published in the Wine and Food of Formula 1 series:

11/17/10: There will be a page started for 2011 with the racing schedule and other information coming soon before the 2011 season. This page will also be under the Formula 1 category, with breakdowns by year.
Again, congratulations to Sebastian Vettel on his FIA World Driver’s Championship title and to his team Red Bull Renault for winning FIA World Constructor’s Championship.
It was a fantastic and fun racing season and really looking forward to it starting all over again in March 2011. I hope to come back to F1 and other forms of racing and write about them again in future years that with a fresh approach to stories – as you all know I love F1!!
